Polyurea micro-/nano-capsule applications in construction industry: A review

چکیده

Abstract The application of micro-/nano-capsules in construction industries has been rising over the past decade. Polyurea with tunable chemical and morphological structure are interesting polymers to prepare used construction. polyurea micro-/nano-capsule is capable be tailored via bulk emulsion or microfluidic method. Important factors for production micro/nano-capsules rate fabrication having control mean size, dispersity, wall thickness. method provides higher yield less sizes dispersity comparison technique. main applications categorized as thermal energy saving, self-healing concrete, polymers, fire retarding. showed appropriate conductivity mechanical properties which required encapsulation phase change materials. Titanium dioxide microcapsules possess storage efficiency 77.3% capacity 99.9%. sodium silicate cargo provided abilities oil well cement high temperature compared gelatin microcapsules. Graphene oxide demonstrated 62.5% anti-corrosive epoxy coating, steel coated dendritic embedded polyurethane remained unchanged after long time immersion salt water.
